MU appears to have no plans to extend the contract of goalkeeper David de Gea,

MU appears to have no plans to extend the contract of goalkeeper David de Gea, who is under contract with the Old Trafford club until the end of the season.

David de Gea is now the second highest-paid player in the Manchester United squad, earning £375,000 per week, only below Cristiano Ronaldo, who gets £480,000 per week. According to statistics, MU’s wage pool has increased by 61.6 million pounds since last year due to the addition of numerous stars in the summer of 2022.

In addition to Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea, the highest-paid players on the Manchester United roster are Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Casemiro. According to the Daily Mail, MU plans to lower the salary fund next season, which will result in the departure of high-paid players who do not contribute much to the club.

De Gea will turn 33 next year, and it seems that MU is considering deploying a younger goalkeeper rather than continuing to rely on the Spaniard. According to the Mirror, Manchester United has no plans to extend De Gea’s contract and has never suggested keeping this goalie.

Dean Henderson is now on loan at Nottingham Forest with no option to buy, but it is expected that he will return to MU to replace De Gea next season.

Paris Saint-Germain has had a strong start to the season, taking the lead in both the Ligue 1 and the Champions League. However, Paris Saint-Germain intends to make a “blockbuster” acquisition during the winter transfer window.

According to a source at Media Foot, the French agent is willing to spend up to 150 million euros to sign AC Milan’s key striker, Rafael Leao. They will, however, face heavy competition from rivals such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City, who are all interested in the Portuguese player.

Rafael Leao is in good form with AC Milan, with four goals and seven assists in 11 appearances across all competitions. He also played a significant role in the Rossoneri’s Scudetto victory last season.

De Gea contract update

West Brom chose to fire boss Steve Bruce after eight games without a win in the Championship this season. In reality, since succeeding Valerien Ismael as West Brom captain in February, Bruce has received little praise, as he only helped the club finish 10th last season.

West Brom recorded only one win in the first 13 rounds of the Championship this year and is currently ranked 22nd, with only 11 points in hand. The possibility of Bruce’s dismissal was shortly foretold, and West Brom is looking for another Manchester United icon to replace the English strategist.

According to the Independent, Roy Keane is one of the most likely contenders to take over as captain of West Brom. The former Ireland player was also in the stands for this club’s 0-1 loss to Preston last week. This is considered an unusual move because Keane has long ago retired as a coach and now solely works as a commentator for Sky Sports.

More specifically, Keane has not led a squad since January 2011. After a poor spell at Ipswich Town, he was fired by the club’s Board of Directors at the time.

Under Frank Lampard, Mason Mount was given a chance and has made amazing development year after year. The 23-year-old has recently finished a fantastic 2021/22 season. Mount scored more Premier League goals than any other English player last season (11 goals, 10 assists).

In 1999, the midfielder’s contract had only 18 months left, so Chelsea negotiated an extension with him. However, despite having begun in the summer, the negotiations have not made much headway, according to The Telegraph. If Mount does not sign a new deal, the Blues must plan for a successor.

According to reports, the West London team is interested in Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini and Villarreal’s Jeremy Pino. Pellegrini, who is currently the captain of the home team Olimpico, is an integral key component of this club. The 26-year-old star is a dynamic midfielder who can play in any position. Transfermarkt values his deal through 2026 at 45 million euros.

Hirving Lozano was formerly a target for MU, but he later transferred to Napoli. This is the fourth season for the Italian squad of the player born in 1995. His recent form has been less than impressive.

Hirving Lozano only scored six goals for Napoli in all competitions last season. He has only one goal in ten appearances this season. The 27-year-old player appears to be no longer with Napoli, as indicated by the fact that he was close to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2022. However, a few roadblocks have stymied the deal.

Although Lozano’s goal-scoring ability has not been particularly outstanding in recent years, MU values the Mexican player’s versatility. Lozano is capable of attacking both sides and the middle.

The 27-year-old also intends to play in the Premier League. Newcastle is interested in Napoli players in addition to Manchester United. Lozano’s contract with Napoli runs through 2024, with the potential of him leaving in January 2023.

Napoli requested £ 30 million for its star in the summer of 2022, but no partner agreed. MU is expecting that the 18 to 22 million pound price tag will help them land the Mexican talent in the next Eastern market.

So yet, the Red Devils have not found a partner in the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer. This may cause Christian Ronaldo to stay with MU for the rest of the season before leaving on a free transfer in the summer.

In truth, keeping Ronaldo isn’t such a horrible idea considering the Portuguese superstar is on the mend. Following the former Real Madrid striker’s goal in MU’s 2-1 win against Everton, it is apparent that coach Erik ten Hag can contemplate using Ronaldo more successfully.

Barcelona is reportedly interested in midfielder Youri Tielemans next summer, according to Spain’s Sport newspaper. Coach Xavi admires the Belgian player and regards him as a priority transfer target for the team.

Previously, both Arsenal and Manchester United were interested in Tielemans and wanted to sign him to a free contract. Meanwhile, Leicester City officials are said to seek to recuperate at least the £40 million they paid to sign the 25-year-old in 2019.
