Man Utd are set to reduce Erik ten Hag's January transfer budget

According to Athletic, Erik Ten Hag was informed by MU owners that they would not be participating in the winter transfer market.

The victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League in September 2022 was the last time manager Ten Hag and his students took the field. The match with Leeds United in the 8th round of the Premier League had to be postponed. Two sets of MU athletes will be separated. The first group comprises 18 players who were called up to the national team and didn’t rejoin the club until late September.

The rest of the team will continue to train at Carrington Training Center under the supervision of coach Ten Hag. However, considering the majority of MU’s core team is currently in the first group of players, the Dutch coach is not confident about the ability to make a breakthrough during this period.

“To be honest, I don’t have any players, therefore I can’t plan anything.” I will continue to work with the players who are already at the club. They will take a few days’ breaks but will continue to work out as usual. Due to a lack of players, I concentrated solely on fixing specific problems. We can’t create tactical exercises because 90% of the main squad is missing.”

Remember, Manchester United will face Manchester City as soon as they return to the English Premier League. Ten Hag is in jeopardy due to not having enough time to prepare, not to mention the possibility of injury. Not content with that, the Dutch manager has recently received unpleasant news from the MU leadership.

According to Athletic reporter Laurie Whitwell, MU will spend relatively little money in the forthcoming winter transfer window, even considering not spending anything at all. Owner Joel Glazer, CEO Richard Arnold, and Director of Football John Murtough all have the same opinion on the matter.

They believe that overspending in the winter market is unneeded and risky. As a result, MU will concentrate on the summer transfer window of 2023. This is in sharp contrast to Ten Hag’s earlier response to Laurie Whitwell. “We are still in the process of assembling the squad, therefore there are several meetings between the parties.” We’ll try to come up with some new names in January or next summer.”

Ten Hag will have to deal with the present roster if no new players are added in the next winter. The Dutch coach performed an excellent job of “upgrading the version” of numerous team members, including Scott McTominay, Jadon Sancho, Diogo Dalot, and Marcus Rashford. The distance between the main team and the reserve team, on the other hand, is growing.

Ten Hag forced MU to spend more than £ 220 million in the previous summer. According to Laurie Whitwell, he was adamant about just pursuing Antony and ignoring the idea of bringing in another full-back. Thus, the Brazilian midfielder became Manchester United’s most expensive player during the last transfer window.

Chelsea intends to sign Harry Kane, and the Blues will include Lukaku in the deal for Europe’s top striker.

Chelsea are keen on signing Kane from Tottenham

England captain Harry Kane is thought to be a great supporter of new Chelsea coach Graham Potter. Also is considering selling Ronaldo to sign Harry Kane in the next transfer window. Because he believes Kane is more in tune with his ideology and can benefit from many seasons than Ronaldo.

However, for the time being, Lukaku is thought to be content at Inter Milan and appears to have agreed to a loan deal for the second year in a row with the Italian club. Inter Milan is willing to spend £ 9 million to borrow the Belgian midfielder for another season, according to transfer analyst Gianluca Di Marzio.

Lukaku has made no secret of his affection for Inter Milan and will almost certainly elect to stay for another season. But, joining Tottenham will allow the Belgian international to rejoin Antonio Conte.

As for Kane, possibly the England captain does not want to attend the Stamford Bridge team, even though he wants to leave because of the rivalry between Chelsea and Tottenham.

In addition to Chelsea, Bayern Munich is aggressively contacting Harry Kane in the hopes of completing a signing agreement with him next summer.

Given Ronaldo’s unclear future at Manchester United, Chelsea appears to be the best option for the Portuguese superstar at this time. However, the Blues have unexpectedly turned to AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, and this transaction may force the Stamford Bridge club to reconsider signing Ronaldo.

According to sources in England, MU was incredibly “bored” of Ronaldo following his poor performance so far this season. They are willing to liquidate the remaining half of the Portuguese superstar’s contract for any decent team.

It is also known that coach Erik ten Hag has decided on who he wants to bring to Old Trafford to replace Ronaldo. Ajax striker Brobbey will be the one to drive MU to spend at least $ 50 million in the January transfer window this year.

Although the Frenkie de Jong trade took all summer to fall through, MU has not given up on the Dutchman. According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils will continue to pay a comparable fee to Barcelona in exchange for De Jong’s services in the Eastern market.

Youri Tielemans, on the other hand, will be an excellent backup plan if De Jong persists in refusing to join the Old Trafford squad. The Belgian international’s current deal with Leicester expires in June 2023. Tielemans has stated that he will not be returning to the King Power Stadium, hence he will be a free agent next summer. MU signed Eriksen without paying a transfer fee during the previous transfer window. If they act promptly, they have a good chance of getting Tielemans’ services in the same scenario.

The Belgian player can pull the ball and finish from a distance. Moreover, Tielemans has extensive expertise in the English Premier League. The 25-year-old seems to have joined Arsenal last summer. Nevertheless, the Gunners refused to spend the £25 million required to bring Tielemans to the Emirates Stadium.

When Youri Tielemans becomes a free agent next summer, he will almost certainly receive numerous lucrative offers. He requested a weekly pay ranging from £150,000 to £180,000.
